Vacancy ATGENDER Office Intern

ATGENDER, the European Association for Gender Research, Education and Documentation is looking for an office intern starting as soon as possible. The internship has a duration of three months and is consisting of work for 10-16 hours per week. The ATGENDER office intern supports the Office Manager in maintaining the ATGENDER office.

  • An internship within an ambitious and exciting international network of students, scholars and experts in gender & women’s studies and feminist research
  • Flexible working hours in the neighborhood of Utrecht University’s Graduate Gender Programme (in consultation with the Office Manager)
  • Compensation for the internship (250 Euro)



  • Provide administrative support to the Office Manager, as needed:
    • e.g. take minutes at internal and/or board meetings;
    • help with communication and organizational matters regarding the ATGENDER Spring Conference 2019 (May 8-10, 2019); possibly assistance on site as well;
    • prepare (bi-weekly) ATGENDER newsletters
  • Membership administration
  • Assisting in managing social media platforms
  • Provide administrative support to the working groups
  • Designing event material and publications
  • Contribution ideas for our membership campaign and social media strategy



  • You are a student or recent graduate;
  • You are ready to work for 200 hours spread over an agreed period of time;
  • You are prepared to perform day-to-day office maintenance tasks;
  • You are fluent in English; additional knowledge of other languages is an advantage but no requirement
  • You are able to demonstrate some knowledge of women’s rights/gender equality issues and/or European Union policies and institutions
  • You are available to start as soon as possible
