ATGENDER General Assembly 2026

ATGENDER members are warmly invited join us for this year’s upcoming General Assembly, on Friday 11th of September 2026, at 3:00 p.m. CET, online. Please make sure to register via this link, in order for us to keep track of the participation numbers.

During the Assembly, members will review the association’s annual activities and financial report, discuss the work of ATGENDER over the past year, and elect 4 new board members. Please note, you should have received our annual activities and financial report via email from us. If you have not received this, please email us at atgender.eu@gmail.com.

This is also a reminder that if any of our members are enthusiastic about the idea of joining our board, they are highly encouraged to apply for the upcoming elections. Further information on being a board member and how to apply is available here.

Regarding voting, we would like to remind you that all our individual members have the right to participate and to vote, and also that our institutional members have the right to cast three votes.

Following the formal business of the Assembly, we invite you to stay for our Community Conversation: Shaping ATGENDER Together. Rather than a traditional roundtable, this will be an informal discussion where members can share ideas, experiences, and perspectives on how we can continue to build a sustainable, inclusive, and engaged academic and activist community. Together, we will reflect on questions such as: How can we balance voluntary work with increasingly precarious academic conditions? How can ATGENDER best support its institutional and individual members? How can we organise accessible and inclusive events? And how can we respond collectively to the current political climate affecting gender studies, equality, and academic freedom across Europe and beyond? We also encourage members to bring examples of inspiring practices from other organisations, networks, or associations that could help us imagine new ways of working together.

Your voice and experience are an important part of shaping ATGENDER’s future. Whether you are a long-standing member or newly involved, we hope you will join us for this conversation and help strengthen our community. Please note that as a member, you have the right to put issues on the agenda of the general assembly, according to Statute 24.3. To do so, you will have to submit them in writing to the secretary at least ten days before the meeting, which would be the 1st of September at most.
