Call for Web Designers & Developers: Help Us Build the New ATGENDER Website – Paid Opportunity

ATGENDER is looking for web designers and developers from within our community and wider network of allies and friends to help us create a new, contemporary website for our association.

We are especially keen to hear from feminist, queer, trans and LGBTQIA+ web design and development collectives, cooperatives, independent designers, and values-aligned studios specialising in web design, UX/UI and web development.

What we want to create

We envision a website that reflects ATGENDER as a lively, diverse, and transnational community. The new site should be contemporary, accessible and welcoming, while also providing a robust digital home for our members, archives, and activities. As such, we would like the web designing team to help us migrate our previous website.

Alongside presenting ATGENDER and our work to the wider public, the website will need to support our membership community. In particular, we would like members to be able to:

  • register, purchase and manage their membership;
  • register (including paid registration) for ATGENDER conferences and other activities;
  • log in to a dedicated members’ area;
  • access special resources and members-only materials;
  • easily find information about our networks, publications, events and opportunities.

Timeline: Our goal is to have the new website fully operational by March 2027, before the next ATGENDER conference in September 2027, including the functionality needed for members to register for the conference and access dedicated content.

The budget for this activity has been approved by the ATGENDER members in 2025.

To apply for this opportunity, please send us a maximum two-page expression of interest, together with a portfolio, at atgender.eu@gmail.com

Your expression of interest should briefly introduce you or your team, outline your approach to web design and development, provide examples of relevant previous work, and indicate your availability for the project.

Application deadline: 30 October 2026
