Strand 2:  Rooting and Shifting (in) Feminist Research: Assessing the ‘Turns’ in Feminist Theory

For this strand we seek papers that address recent developments in feminist theory such as the affective and the material turn, and post-positivist realism. How are these developments rooted in feminist theories of the past and what kind of feminist theoretical future is longed for? Likewise, we are interested in careful assessments of turning points in the feminist theory landscape at earlier times. What are important historiographical narratives in the ways that the history of feminist thinking has and is being told?

The strand is coordinated by Cornelia Moeser (contre@web.de), Beatriz Revelles Benavente (beatriz_revelles@hotmail.es) and Iris van der Tuin (i.vandertuin@uu.nl). Please contact us with questions or ideas.

Note that the deadline for the call for papers is August 15, 2011.
